RAM Lineup Engine Options And Performance
At the heart of the performance of the RAM lineup are the trucks’ impressive engine offerings. The RAM 1500 starts off the lineup by offering three impressive engine options. Standard equipment includes a 3.6-liter PENTASTAR V-6 rated at 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. Next on this list of engine options is a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8. This engine increases the performance numbers to 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. Rounding out the engine lineup is RAM’s 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6. This engine is rated at 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.The impressive engine offerings continue with the RAM Heavy Duty lineup. 2500 and 3500 models offer three engine options. The 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 makes returns, joined by a 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 and the impressive 6.7-liter CUMMINS turbo diesel engine. The 6.4-liter gasoline V-8 is rated at 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, while the turbo diesel checks in at up to 385 horsepower and 900 pound-feet of torque.
RAM 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab models offer both the 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 and the 6.7-liter CUMMINS turbo diesel.
